Membership is purchased inside the iPhone or iPad app through Apple. It includes photo reading, AI explanations, and optional Immersive Reader. The annual US price is US$39.99; Apple's purchase sheet shows your local price and terms.
Open Settings in Read & Explain
Tap the sliders icon at the top of the home screen. Under Membership, tap Explore membership. If you already subscribe, this row is named Annual membership.
Review the annual plan
Check the displayed price, renewal period, and any trial shown by Apple. A 7-day free trial is available to eligible new subscribers. If you are not eligible, Apple shows the price that will apply. Membership includes 100 photo reads or explanations per day, shared across your devices.
Confirm with Apple
Use the subscription button and follow Apple's purchase confirmation. Complete authentication if asked. Your payment details are handled by Apple. If you close the purchase confirmation without approving it, the purchase is not completed.
Start your reading
After the purchase succeeds, return to Settings and check your membership status. You can then take or choose a photo. If access has not appeared, use Restore purchases with the same Apple Account.
An annual subscription renews
The subscription renews automatically unless canceled through Apple. A trial converts to a paid annual plan unless canceled. Review the terms Apple displays before confirming.
One person's membership
Family Sharing is not included. You can use your own membership on your iPhone and iPad with the same Apple Account; each device keeps its own reading library.
