An explanation puts the content of a photo into simpler language. It is a separate AI response, so it can leave out details or misunderstand the photo.
Explain a new photo
Take or choose a photo from the home screen. In New reading, select Explain it, then tap Explain photo. Review the OpenAI sharing permission if it appears.
Or explain a saved photo
Open a saved reading that has a source photo and does not already have an explanation. Tap Explain this photo. The app uses that saved photo to create the explanation.
Read or listen to the result
When a reading contains both versions, use Original text and Explanation to switch between them. Listen reads the version you have selected. The explanation stays with the saved reading.
Keep the original close
Use View original photo to check details. Explanations are a reading aid, not a substitute for professional advice or checking important information.
Uses your daily allowance
Creating an explanation uses the same daily allowance as reading a photo. Reopening or listening to an explanation already saved on your device does not use another request.
